Town in the valley of the Ostravice river and a significant centre of turism under the Lysa mountain. In the town we may see the Baroque parish church of St. Bartolomej from 1665 lately rebuilt and modified. In the middle of the square there is the column of the plague from 1731. The novobaroque city-hall has been built in 1894. Frydlant is an imaginary gate to the Moravskoslezske Beskydy mountains. A sport airport for motor and motorless aircrafts is situated nearby.
